What’s inside the program?

Day 1-2: The Basics

  • Introduction to Nature and Health: Understand the scientific principles behind nature connection, and try a fun activity right away.

  • Tune in to tune out: Find out about your sensory blind spots and how they are blocking your connection. Learn about the importance of physical relaxation for accessing the health benefits of nature

Day 3-6: Immersive Nature Experience

  • Sensory Awareness: how often do you stop to smell the roses, or notice the weather, or really take the time to appreciate the everyday nature around you. Practice fully dynamic sensory awareness and open yourself to a new way of seeing (and smelling, and touching).

  • Beauty and Awe: Did you know that people who notice beauty often are happier and more helpful?

Day 7: First Nations

  • Introduce yourself to country: Be invited by Wiradjuri man, Brett Groves, to connect with your place through this first nations ritual that can be done with respect on the country that you are on.

  • Creative Expression: Brett is an amazing Indigenous artist, listen along as he invites you to see the land with the “eyes of an artist”.

Day 9-10: Integration and reflection

  • Gratitude: Consciously expressing grattitude has long lasting well being benefits..

  • Advanced routine: by day 10 you are ready to bring at all together. On this day we introduce you to one of our favourite advanced routines that combines all the others.

Bonus section: What if I can’t get outside, or I’m at work inside, or on commute?

Research shows that watching virtual nature also has a positive effect on our well being. (Thankfully not as good as real nature). So, we’ve created stunningly beautiful video and audio connection routines to watch online, they are yours for free in the bonus section.

Research

At NatureFix we pride ourselves on being evidence led. We currently have research partnerships with six universities, and clinical trails running with several state health services.

Findings

Students who completed NatureFix routines at home for a minimum of 20 minutes ( as part of our living lab at Macquarie University) were found to be:

  • 38% happier 

  • 20% less negative 

  • 31% more connected to nature & community
